First edition of the French translation of a Japanese novel by Takeda Izumo (1691-1756). It was translated from the English translation by Frederick V. Dickins into French by Albert Dousdebès. The wood engravings were executed by Japanese artists and printed on Japanese paper.
Fine copy, with manuscript dedication in ink by the translator A. Dousdebès on sub-title.
