A rhyming journalist
ILPSEMA VINCKERS, Harko.Vergeet-mij-nietjes. Versjes voor Kinderen.     Groningen, F. Wilkens, (1852??). Small 4to. Orig. blue cloth, blind stamped, with large gilt bouquet of flowers on frontcover. With 6 full-page tinted lithographed plates, all nicely coloured by hand. (4), II, 88 pp. Nicely illustrated collection of young children's poems by Harko Ilpsema Vinckers (1817-1894), a journalist working for the "Provinciale Groningsche Courant" and the "Nieuwe Winschoter Courant". Earlier he had published a collection of nursery rhymes which had become very popular. The fine lithographed plates were made by P.W.M. Trap. Nice copy, with ownership's entry in ms. in ink on title ''Hendrina Klinkers''.- (Edges of bindings sl. rubbed, another ownership's entry on first blanks, some browning throughout).
