First edition of a rare and interesting work on the Ethiopian language by the German linguist, orientalist and theologian Hermann Hupfeld (1796-1866), a pupil of Wilhelm Gesenius, whom he in 1843 succeeded as professor at the University of Halle.

Binding slightly rubbed, spine damaged. A good copy of this rare Ethiopian grammar.
