Augsburg, Conrad Heinrich Stage, 1794. 8vo. 19th-century half dark blue morocco, spine ribbed and gilt. With 23 woodcut plates, one of which is folding, and several facsimiles in the text. (22), 384 pp.

Contains the descriptions of the numerous incunables from the library of the Bavarian Augustinian monastery Beuerberg. The catalogue is divided in three sections: (1) p. 1-215 chronological, with desriptions of printed books from 1468 till 1500, (2) p. 215-345 alphabetically to place of printing: Augsburg-Venice, and (3) p. 345-354 incomplete books. The catalogue is concluded by an overview of places of printing (p. 315-373) and an alphabetical index of authors and titles. Paul Hupfauer (1747-1808), an abbot attached to the same monastery, is nowadays especially known as the librarian and professor theology and philosophy of the Munich University.
