The 'Opera omnia' of the greatest poet, historian and author of the Dutch Golden Age, Pieter Cornelisz. Hooft (1581-1647), without the general title (2 fols.) which is bound in some copies before vol. 1 to unite the two vols. of the Ned. Hist. with the Mengelwerken and Tacitus in order to sell these 4 vols. as the comlete works of Hooft (Leendertz only knows two copies with this general title).

- Vol. 1-2: The Nederlandsche Historien (1703) is one of the best historical works written by a contemporary author on the beginning of the 'Eighty Year's War', the struggle for independence of the Low Countries against Spain and the Hapsburg Empire. The original edition which was published in 1642 describes the history from 1555 till 1584; the 'Vervolgh' (Continuation), published in 1654, the history from 1585-87. This is in fact the fourth edition of the Ned. Hist. After the engraved and printed titles follow: the dedication by the publishers to Henrik Hooft, Drost of Muiden (pp. 3-7); list of illustrations (p. 8); the portrait of Hooft; ''T leeven van ... Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft' (The life of -) by Geeraardt Brandt (pp. 1-28); the original dedication to the Stadholder Frederick Hendrik by Hooft; and laudatory poem by J. Vollenhove. The text is illustrated with 24 full-page portraits (13 more than in the previous edition) of the most important protagonists of the war (Philips II, Granvelle, the Counts of Egmond and Hoorne, Alva, the Duke of Parma, the Duke of Anjou, William of Orange, Philips van Marnix, the Count of Leicester, Johan van Oldenbarneveld, etc.), and 25 double-page plates of the most important events, battles, sieges, etc. of the war. 16 of these are not in the previous edition, all from another history of the same period: P. Bor's Oorsprongk, begin, en vervolgh der Nederlandsche Oorloghe (1677), and all by Jan Luyken.
- Vol. 3: Mengelwerken (1704). After the engraved and printed title follow: the preface by David van Hoogstraten, dated Amsterdam, 1 November 1703; the preface by Geraardt Brandt, dated Amsterdam 19 May 1671; the funeral oration of P.C. Hooft by Geraardt Brandt (his son-in-law), a lamentation by R. Anslo, a laudatory poem by J. Vollenhove for Hooft's son Arnout Hooft as the editor of these works, and a content of the volume. The texts comprise:
- Henrik de Groote. Zyn leven en bedryf, Hooft's biography of the French King Henry IV, including his dedication to the Amsterdam Burgomaster Diederick Bas, and laudatory poems by H. Grotius, Constantijn Huygens, Caspar Barlaeus, Petrus Scriverius and J. van der Burg, and the portrait of Henry IV. (12), 176 pp. The original edition was published in 1626 (6 further editions till 1664).
- Rampzaaligheden der verheffinge van den Huize Medicis. Hooft's history of the Italian House of the Medicis. The original edition was published in 1649 (5 further editions till 1664). (pp. 177-216).
- Brieven (Letters). (pp. 217-398).
- Vertaalingen (Translations). Fragments from Guicciardini, Lottinus, Sanjsovinus, Plutarch, Livius, and Trajan Boccalinus. (pp. 399-446).
- Gedichten ... Eertydts ververzaamelt en uitgegeven door ... Jacob van den Burgh ... Nu op nieuw overzien, en merkelijk vermeerdert. Hooft's collected poems as edited by Jacob van der Burgh in 1636, including his plays Granida, Geraart van Velzen, Baeto, Warenar, and Paris oordeel (pp. 451-592); Hooft's Minnezinnebeelden, Verscheide gedichten, Zangen, en Sonnetten. With the 30 engraved emblems (pp. 593-696).
- Mengeldichten en Byschriften. (pp. 697-758, with the Errata on the next page).
- Vol. 4: Alle de werken van C. Corn. Tacitus. Hooft's famous translation of the works of Tacitus (1704): After the title follow: the preface of Geraardt Brandt, the life of Tacitus by Justus Lipsius (as translated by Hooft from the Latin original), preface by the publisher, dated 20 August 1683, and the Chronology. Then the texts: (1) the Jaarboeken (Annales; pp. 1-304); (2) Historien (Historiae; pp. 305-484); (3) Boeksken van de geleegenheit, zeeden, en volken van Germaniae (pp. 485-504); (4) 'T leeven van Julius Agricola (pp. 505-528). At the end: the Geslachtboom van den Huize van Augustus, Verklaaring eeniger namen van volken en steden, and the index. This is a re-edition of the first folio-edition of 1684. The book is illustrated with 14 full-page numbered portraits by A. Vaillandt of the 13 Roman emperors from Caesar to Domitianus and Seneca, and a series of 8 numbered double-page plates by J. Mulder after the plates by Otto Vaenius in Batavorum cum Romanis bellum (Antwerp 1612).
