Beautiful album, containing 12 lithographs numbered 1-12, designed by Adolphe d'Hastrel, and lithographed by D'Hastrel, Cicéri, Muller, Bayot, Sabatier, and Clerget. Adolphe d'Hastrel was  born in the Alsace, and spent his youth in Tours and surroundings. He started drawing at an early age, concentrating on the Alsacian landscapes. Later he concentrated on America. His lithographs are of great ethnological interest. The plates depict:

- general view of Montevideo from the roads.
- general view of Montevideo from the new cemetary.
- cathedral in Montevideo.
- balconies in Montevideo and a view on the harbour.
- market in the old town.
- costumes of the provinces of the Rio de la Plata.
- view on the isle of Martin-Garcia.
- debarking at the 'sable-bay' at the isle of Martin-Garcia.
- Port del-Carmelo or of Las-Vacas in Uruguay.
- view on the village l'Aguada, near Montevideo.
- view of the city La Colonia de Sacramento at Rives de la Plata.
- general view of Buenos-Ayres.
