First edition of a work on horticulture by Guiol, engineer. After this first edition another three editions followed and in 1825 the work was  published as Traité de la composition et de l'ornement des Jardins by M. Boitard.  At the end a table with 38 pp. with a list of plants, shrubs, trees and flowers and a.o. with their flowering or planting season and place of planting.

Good copy, with bookplate of Lucas de Lestanville.- (Binding rubbed; lower part of spine damaged).
