Contemporary three quarter calf, red painted edges. 7 folding plates. 31; 56 pp. First and only edition of this rare trade catalogue on mathematical, mechanical and magical books, tricks, lotteries, etc. by Johann Conrad Guetle (1747 - ?). In the foreword is mentioned that more parts will be published, but that was never the case. These first two parts were published, both bound together in our copy. The folding plates depict al sorts of recreational tricks and experiments and gadgets. All together 333 instruments, mathematical tricks, toys, conjuring devices, conjuring with electrical devices, playing cards, optical tricks and instruments and many more. Good copy with handwritten ownership's entry of Jos Prantl, 1807.
