Very rare work on the history of Doetinchem, a city in the east of the Netherlands by K.H. Greeven (1798-1876) who served in Doetinchem as a minister of the church from 1827 until 1830. Also includes a portfolio with ten printed drawings and a number of 19th century photographs and documents relating to Doetinchem, the author, and to the family of J.D. Pasteur, who was born in Doetinchem in 1860. The last five blank pages are filled with "Eenige weinige toevoegselen tot de Beschrijving en geschiedenis van Doetinchem door Dr. K.H. Greeven" (Some additions to the book) in handwriting.
