First edition of a popular poem by Frans Greenwood (1680-1760), poet and painter from Rotterdam, illustrated with lively scenes of farmers celebrating Pentecost festivities, starting with the festive entry of the drummers and ending with avehement fight at an inn. Greenwood was inspired by Lukas Rotgans' Boerekermis which was published in 1708.
