Antwerp, Marten Vermeere, (1541). 4to. 19th century half calf. Woodcut coat-of-arms of Charles V on title. (64) lvs.

First Dutch edition of the decision taken by the 'Reichstag', the meeting of the Counts of the Holy German Empire at Regensburg, to the effect that the rights of the Emperor Charles V on the Duchy of Gelre and the County of Zutphen were legitimate, together with the rejection of the objections raised by Duke William of Cleve at Frankfurt in 1539. The present text was translated from the Latin edition, which was also published by Martin Vermeere at Antwerp in 1541. In the present Dutch edition is the date at the end erroneously printed as 1561.

Good copy. With eighteenth-century note to the binder by a former owner pasted on last leaf.- (Title stained, last leaf restored at outer margin).
Belg. Typogr. 309; Machiels K 100; STC Dutch p. 83.
