First and only edition of a travel account on India, China and Japan by Count Alexis De Gabriac. The work contains 20 chapters of which the last chapter deals with  North America with visits to the cities San Francisco, Chicago, and New York. This copy is from the library of Victor Emmanuel III (1869-1947), the king of Italy from 1900 to 1946.

Good copy, partly uncut, with bookplate of King Vittorio Emanuele III on recto first blank and library stamp on frontwrapper.- (Spine and wrappers damaged).
