First and only edition of a historical work on Amsterdam attributed to Jan Fokke (1742-1812), engraver and historian. Fokke is famous for his other works on Amsterdam: Beschryving van Amsterdam. (Amsterdam, 1782) and Geschiedkundige beschrijving van het stadhuis te Amsterdam, (Amsterdam, 1808).
