Paris, Librairie Louis Janet Magnin, Blanchard et Cie, (ca. 1840?). Sm.8vo. Original decorated gilt and blind-stamped pink cloth, g.e. With 6 lithographed plates tinted in sepia. (2), 248, 4 pp.

First (?) edition of this charming Robinsonade in which he goes to Paris and encounters many adventures, which are described in this book. The work is divided in 6 parts, each with a number of chapters. Ullrich mentions the first (1840), second (1845) and fourth (1862) edition. Because this copy mentions no date printing date, it could be indeed the first edition. Gumuchian mentions 23 works by Foa, but not this one.
Ullrich 141; not in Gumuchian.
