Rare Havana imprint, being a manual to obtain sugar by means of various chemical processes. The author of this originally English work is W.E. Evans, who was a doctor. The finely lithographed plates by Luis Marquier from Havana show a.o. the structure of sugar, machines and two floors of a sugar factory.
