Contemporary marbled calf, green morocco title label with gilt lettering on spine, gilt spine, sides gilt, marbled endpapers. Engraved title, 12 full-page engraved plates with erotic scenes. (24 lvs.). Original edition of an erotic work with poems each illustrated with an explicit erotic scene on an engraved plate. In 1864 it was reprinted at Brussels with photographic images. Good copy with bookplates of Carlo de Poortere, and Penard Fernandez.- (Spine cracked and partly loose title label, binding edges rubbed; some foxing).
