Vol. 1: XXIV, 550, (2) pp.; vol. 2: (4), 556 pp.; vol. 3: (4), 524 pp.; vol. 4 (Supplement): XIV, 51 Second edition of this major and ground breaking bibliographic work, which was first published one year earlier, in 1790, for the use mainly of antiquarian booksellers, collectors and bibliophiles. The manual was published anonymously, although it is known that L'abbé Duclos is the author who wrote the work in cooperation with the printer and publisher Cailleau. Added is the original edition of the supplement, issued as the fourth volume in 1802. This supplement was composed by the famous bibliographer J. Cl. Brunet who later published his well-known indispensable handbook Manuel du Libraire. The four volumes are uniformly and elegantly bound in contemporary half green morocco.
