Auguste Desgodins (1826-1913) left for Tibet in 1855 and stayed there for 25 years. Desgodins was prominent among the French Missionaries and a pioneer and scholar in Tibetan language and literature. He also founded Pedong and was the author of a Tibetan-French-Latin dictionary.
Good copy of a very rare work with library stamp of the Biblioteque des Missions Estrangères de Paris.
