New Dutch translation of Defoe's "The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe", together with "The Farther Aventures". It is the fourth Dutch edition in all, but the first in this new translation and with the new plates by Reinier Vinkeles. According to Staverman this translation, newly made after the English original, is much improved compared to the first Dutch translation of 1721-1722. The names of the Dutch translators are not known, neither of the first nor of the present second translation, but both did closely follow the English original. Although the present work is in three volumes, it does no longer contain Defoe's "Serious Reflections". Instead "The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures" now is divided over two volumes.
