Fifth French edition of Defoe's "The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe", together with both "The Farther Adventures" and "Serious Reflections". It was the first edition to be published at Leyden, all earlier French editions having been published at Amsterdam, by l'Honoré & Chatelain.

Good copy.- (Spines restored; small red library stamp on first blank of vol. 1 and on verso title of vol. 2; outer margin cut off of four lvs. in the middle of vol.1, but without loss of text; some sl. staining and foxing).
Ullrich II, 12; not in Gumuchian, or Cohen-de Ricci; NUC lists one copy.
