Rare edition of Dürer's letters and diary (1520-1521) in English
DÜRER, Albrecht.Records of journeys to Venice and the Low Countries by Albrecht Dürer. Edited by Roger Fry.   Boston, The Merrymount Press, 1913. 8vo. Contemporary green morocco, gilt title on spine with raised bands, both covers blind tooled, bound by R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. Chicago. Title printed in red & black, marginalia and initials printed in red. XXVI, 117, (2) pp. English translation of the letters by Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) written to Willibald Pirkheimer during his travels, and a diary of his journey (1520-1521) to the Netherlands. The book is very elegantly printed and published in the series The Humanists Library, vol. VI, and edited by Roger Fry (1866-1934). The title page is designed by W.A. Dwiggins. Fine copy with the bookplate of Neva and Guy Littell, president of the binding company R.R. Donnelley, with postcard to C.G. Littell.- (Spine sl. rubbed; front hinge sl. loose).
