(4), 463, (9) pp. Very rare biographical work on the members of the Order of the Golden Fleece, an order of chivalry founded in 1430 by Duke Philip III of Burgundy to celebrate his marriage to the Portuguese princess Isabel of Aviz, by the Chancellor of Brabant Jean Baptist Chrystyn (1630-1690), in which he gives biographical data of 451 numbered chapters, including the devices, motto's, epitaphs, symbols, emblems, etc. of the members. After the half title and title follow a note on the founder of the Order Philip III, the Good (1-4), the 451 biographical notes on the members (pp. 5-440), a list of the members created by Charles II (pp. 441-463) and 'Table des chevaliers par les maisons' ((9) pp.). There exists also an issue without the address in Brussels. Good copy.- (Libr. stamp on title).
