This part is illustrated by 4 double-page engraved plates of 'De Haringvisschery' and 'De Walvischvangst', and the Roads of Batavia and the island Onrust near Batavia, all four engraved by Matthias Sallieth (1749-1791) after the drawings by H. Kobell Jr. which he had made on the spot. The greater part of the text (pp. 44-135) and plates is devoted to the harbours of the Netherlands, illustrated with 27 beautiful double-page plates with captions in Dutch and French and the coat-of-arms of the towns in between, engraved by Sallieth and Dirk de Jong (1) after the drawings by Dirk de Jong, H.
