First edition of a pamphlet on the war between Holland and England. Page 1-8 are new, page 9-56 consists of a copy of Appendix van Engelands Apèl en Beroep by the same author, published one year earlier in 1673. Thomas Clifford (1630-1673) followed the duke of York in the battle against Holland in 1665 and 1666. After his return he continued his political carreer, and was a member of the famous Cabal cabinet. In 1672 he received the title: Lord Clifford of Chudleigh.
