Very rare first French edition outside Antwerp of the decrees, edicts, etc., issued by Charles V at Brussels on 7 October 1531, partly new, partly confirming a number of earlier decrees on trade customs and monopolies, bankruptcy, vagabonds and beggars, inns and cabarets, carnival and funfairs, horses, blasphemies, etc. and especially against "la secte lutheriane", giving an interesting view on the origins of Lutheranism and other protestant sectes, as wel as on the daily life, especially in Flanders in the years around 1530.
The first French edition was published shortly before, on 18 November by Willem Vorsterman and Michiel Hillen van Hoochstraten in Antwerp (2 issues: NK 1651 and 3642; re-published on 29 November 1531, also 2 issues: NK 1652 and 3643). The first Dutch edition appeared also in Antwerp with Willem Vorsterman and Michiel Hillen van Hoochstraten on 15 November 1531 under the title Ordinantien ende statuten ... om te verdriven de Lutheraensche ende andere gereprobeerde secten ... (NK 1639-1642); on the same day also published by Pieter de Keyser in Gendt (NK 3639).

Fine copy with some contemporary annotations in light brown ink.- (Title a bit thumbed).
NK 3644 (only one copy recorded in a private collection: now the FORUM copy); Vanderhaeghen, Bibl. gantoise VII, 14675; Machiels, K(arel V) 69; not in Adams, not in NUC
