Day to day journal on the private life and conversations of Napoleon during his exile at Saint Helena, with the sequel: Suite au Mémorial de Sainte Hélène, (Paris, Brussels, Raynal, Roret, P.J. de Mat, 1824-1825) in the second edition, both written by Emmanuel, Comte de las Cases (1766-1842), French historian. He accompanied Napoleon at Saint Helena for 8 months, so usually his writings are considered as very accurate commentaries and  firsthand information on this period of the life of Napoleon. The work was also published in English at London, 1823.
Good set, with bookplate of Henri de Greeve, pasted on insides of front covers.- (Spines of vols. 6, 7, 10 loose; foxing throughout).
