Re-issue of the first edition of the Italian translation by Marco Ginammi of an account on the Spanish conquest of the West Indies and South America written by Bartolomé De Las Casas (1474-1566), warm defender of Indian rights against the Spanish oppression. It contains the tracts by De Las Casas which were first published in Spanish: ''Una disputa, o contoverse entre... Iniquas'' (Sevilla, 1552) and ''Principia queda exquibus procedendum est in disputatione ... Yndorum''.
