Auction catalogue of the important and beautiful library of Mr. Girardot de Préfond sold at the end of April 1757 by the composer of the catalogue, the bookseller and printer Guillaume-François de Bure le jeune. The catalogue contains an introduction, extensive notes on many items (pp. I-XLI), followed by the description of the 1428 items on a.o. theology, law, sciences, literature and natural history. A comprehensive index of authors concludes the work.

Good copy with bookplate of Adelpho Loureiro on inside front cover, with his written name on the title. ownership signature on verso first flyleave, ms. note and ownership's entry on half-title, ms. ownership's entry (D.
