Utrecht, Widow Herfkens & Son. (1859-60). 32 views, each 78 x 362 mm) Contemporary blind stamped red buckram with the gilt title 'Panorama van Utrecht', together with the coat-of-arms of Utrecht on the front cover, pink silk endpapers. 32 coloured lithographs of 78 x 362 mm.

Thirty-two coloured lithographs by Jan Bos (1832-1897), together forming a continuous panoramic view of the city of Utrecht in the form of a so-called leporello-book, from the former Wittevrouwenpoort (-'Barrière) via the Willems-kazerne, Cellulaire-gevangenis (Wolvenplein), Plompe-toren gracht, Begijnen bolwerk, Van Wijks kade, Weerd barrière, Noorder kade, Korenmolen de Rijn en Zon, Korenmolen de Meiboom, Wasch- en Badhuis, Catharijne-barrière, Gaz-fabriek, Koperpletterij, Rijn-kade, Willems-barrière, Plantsoen, Groot 's Rijks Hospitaal, Barthelomeus Gisthuis, Geerte kerk, Diakonessen huts, Run- en Pelmolen, Tolsteeg-barrière, St. Nicolai kerk, Artillerie manège en stallingen, Fondatie-huis van Vrouwe van Renswoude, , Nieuwe Gracht, Meteorologisch instituut, Sterrenkundig Observatorium, , Chemisch laboratorium (Leeuwenbergkerk), Malie barrière, Lepelenburg, Heerernstraat , Zonstraat, St. Lucasbrug, St. Lucas bolwerk, plantsoen, back to the former Wittevrouwenpoort.
The lithographs are drawn from the opposite side of the city canal showing the public and private buildings along the city canal (inside the boundaries of the medieval city), as well as the parks which had been designed by the famous architect Zocher, replacing the former city walls which had been demolished in the 1830's and '40s.
The panorama measuring ca 5.80 meters is very scarce in this complete form.
