Nicely produced animal alphabet for the Sunday-Schools. The book really is an instruction book on natural history, the detailed information given both thourough and quite correct. But, as the author explains in the preface, the book is meant to instill into the children a great respect and love for the God who created nature inhabitated by such a wide range of fine animals. The A is reserved for the wild ass, the B for polar bear, etc.

Good copy.- (Binding sl. dam. and discoloured, sl. loosening in spine; some pencil annotations on endpapers).
