Each part with woodcut on title, and 16 woodcuts with a few lines of text on 8 lvs., verso blank, one part nicely coloured by thumb. Each part (8) lvs. Six issues of this popular children's picture-magazine, costing 5 cents per issue. The woodcuts used are very similar to those used for catchpenny-prints, which only costed 1 cent. Some lines of text under the woodcuts are printed in Gothic, but most lines are in Roman type. Each issue was devoted to a single subject, here respectively on the pig, the cow, an old reading-lesson, varia, the farmer, and the House of Orange. One issue, on the pig, is nicely coloured by thumb, in green, yellow, and purple. Nice set.
