First illustrated edition of the popular collection of children's poems. The book here is in a somewhat larger format than the unillustrated edition, 11 x 17 cm., to match the newly added plates. The small collection of poems must have been such an immediate succes that the publisher decided to bring a more expensive, illustrated edition on the market, which also was treated as a first edition.
