b. KIKKERT, P.J. Doktor Faust. Volksverhaal. Nieuwe Niedorp, 1867.- First edition of a new adaptation, in verse, of the popular story of Doctor Faustus.

d. SLANGEN, J.H.W. De Familie Bruin, of De Kracht van een Edel Beginsel. Een Geldersch Verhaal. Nieuwe Niedorp, 1868.- First edition of a children's novel on a young man from Arnhem in Gelderland who took part in the War of Secession with Belgium in 1830, written by a schoolteacher from Schagen.
e. (HARTMAN, H.H.). De Valsche Munter. Dramatische Schets in Drie Bedrijven, naar aanleiding van de Novelle: "Het Paviljoen van den Burggraaf". Voor Rederijkers bewerkt. Nieuwe Niedorp, 1868.- First edition of a theater play, adapted for amateurs after a popular  novel published in the "Historisch-Romantische Huis-Bibliotheek". As the popular amateur-groups in the course of the 19th century in the Netherlands in the main were not allowed to play with women the adaptator took great pains to divide the part of the one woman in the story among the male players, as explained in the postscript.
f. GOEVERNEUR, J.J.A. De Oude Snorrebaard. Vertellingen uit het Soldatenleven. Naar het Hoogduitsch. Leiden, (1868).- First edition of an exciting children's novel situated in 1806, during the war between Napoleon and the Prussians and Russians. This work is attractively illustrated with coloured lithographs.

Fine copy of an interesting collection.
