First and only edition of the funeral oration, composed by Vincenzo Jacobacci, and recited at Bodoni's burial service in the Cathedral of Parma, on the 2nd of december 1813. Added is a description of the funeral ceremonies by De Lama.The engraving on page I, was made after the medallion that was presented to Bodoni in 1802 by the city of Parma. It was made by L. Manfredini and shows Bodoni in profile. The widow of Bodoni issued 500 copies for distribution among friends only.
