Two beautifully engraved  works by Gerardus Blasius (1626-1692?) bound together.
Ad 1: Important work on the human anatomy illustrated with 13 full-page anatomical illustrations and an engraved frontispiece by Appelman.
Ad 2: Discusses parts of the human as well as the zoological anatomy. This work is illustrated with 6 folding engraved plates a.o with the anatomy of dogs and 19 full-page engravings with illustrations of an eye, chest, blood vessels, genitals, etc. The frontispiece engraving on which an anatomic preparation of a human body is depicted, is dated 1677 which means that this work is printed in 1677 instead of 1676,  or that the frontispiece engraving has been added later.

Fine copies.- (With ms. early 19th century annotations in ink by a previous owner named François Antoine Martel; 1 loose endpaper).
