With 6 full-page tinted lithographed plates, finely finished by hand. 94, (2) pp. Fine illustrated children's book of poems by the three most popular authors of the time, Samuel Johannes van den Bergh (1814-1868), Jan Jacob Lodewijk ten Kate (1819-1889) and Jacob van Lennep (1802-1868). The plates show children making a snowman, a boy riding a rocking-horse, feeding the chickens, playing at soldiers, putting doll's clothes on the cat, and mother with the cat on her lap admonishing her child to be gentle with animals. Fine copy.
