Livre de plusieurs Navires de Guerre et Vaisseaux Marchands. Paris, [ca. 1690]. Two series of plates, depicting naval subjects. The first series is engraved by Jan Karel Donatus van Beecq (ca. 1638-1722). He was a marine painter, who spent most of his life in Paris. Already in his own time he was very much appreciated as an artist. The plates in the present work show several ships in different situations. For example a sailing ship and some ships with fire on board. The second series of plates is engraved by Nicolas de Poilly (1626-1696). On the plates are several battle and trade ships depicted. Good copy.- (Few stains).
