A famous British gardener translated into Dutch

Smies, a large folding engraved plate, 5 (of 6) large folding tabels. VIII, 292 pp. Scarce third and enlarged edition of the important manual on gardening, translated by Job Baster (1711-1775). The original English edition is by Philip Miller (1691-1771), who was a famous British gardener. Illustrated with a fine engraved frontispiece, a large folding engraved plate on which all kinds of gardening tools are depicted and 5 (of 6) folding tables with almanacs for florists and gardeners. There are only 3 recorded copies of this edition found in the university libraries in the Low Countries and none outside! Fair uncut copy.- (Spine rubbed; burn in p. 101; lacks one folding table).
