In lofty verse the main events of the Bible are retold from a protestant viewpoint.first unnumbered six leaves contain the title, dedicatory letter to Vincenzo Gonzaga IV, duc de Mantua by thr translator Ferrante Guisone, preface, three poems by Guillaume du Peyrat, Gasparo Renzio and Roland du Jardin, and a note to the reader.printer, Jamet Mettayer was first active in Blois and from 1589 till 1590 in Tours. He apparently had a certain preference for publishing Italian litterary texts. Good copy in its original vellum binding.
