BALBI, Ambrogio.Dissertazioni risguardanti il culto di Venere Ericina. ![]() Turin, Widow Pomba and sons, 1824. 8vo. Half green morocco, spine ribbed and gilt, with the gilt coat of arms of J. Gomez de la Cortina, better known as the marquis de Morante, a well-known Spanish bibliophile, on both covers, sprinkled edges. 90 pp. Two dissertations by Ambrogio Baldi on the Venere Ericina, an important cult of Venus, published for the first time as a couple. The first dissertation was published here for the first time, the second had already appeared in 1807, but only in a few copies.
