Vienna, 20 January 1719 (received 14 February). Folio (32.5 x 21 cm). Letter on double-leaf, written in brown ink on paper by a clerk and signed by Charles VI and two others. With large (diameter 7 cm) round blind-stamped white seal of Charles VI with two-headed eagle holding a sword, an orb and the emperor's coat of arms, with text: 'CAROL · VI. · D.G · ROM : IMP : S · A · GER : HISP : HUNG : BOH :[UTR:SIC] : HYER : ET INDIARU : RX · ARC : D · AUS · D : BURG : BRAB : MEDIOL · PR : SUEV : CATAL · MAR · S · R · I · COM : HABS · FL : TYR'. [4] pp.

Neatly written manuscript letter in German, addressed to Count Moritz Wilhelm, Count of Solms, Lord of Münzenberg (= Wilhelm Moritz, Count of Solms-Braunfels; 1651-1724?), signed by the penultimate Habsburg sovereign of the Habsburg Empire, and Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI (1685-1740). A second signature is probably by Friedrich Karl, Count of Schönborn, vice chancellor of the Holy Roman Empire (1674-1746); the third is the signature of the clerc Frans (?).
The emperor declares Johann Heinrich Dörler in default for not fulfilling his financial obligations due to the fact that the in the 'Rescripti de solvendo (Rescriptum paritorium) am Sechs und Zwanzigsten Julij nächts vorigen Jahr angesezte zwey monathliche terminus verstrichen (sind)'.

Some soiling and foxing, otherwise in good condition.
