Auction catalogue of the library of Jean Philippe Eugene count of Merode, marquis of Westerloo (1647-1732), a nobleman from the southern Netherlands who had been officer under Philip V of Spain and later became general under Marlborough and Eugenius of Savoye. His memoirs were recently (1998) published by David Chandler: Military Memoirs of Marlborough's campaigns, 1702-1712. The catalogue contains over 4000 items on a wide range of subjects.
