Popular pseudo-Aristotelian text on the universe, here in the second edition by the Flemish humanist Bonaventura Vulcanius, with his exhaustive comments and the additional second part. The text is in Greek, with the Latin versions of Apuleius and Guillaume Budé. The first edition by Vulcanus was published at Leiden, by Raphelengius in 1587. The second part, not present in the 1587-edition, contains the Praise of the sea by Gregory of Cyprus, and Paul Silentiarios's poem on the Hot Springs of Pythia, both in Greek.
Good copy, with the often lacking second part. With the bookplate of Mr. Em. Mancel.- (Ms. annotation on fly leaf).
