Paris, Louis Janet, (1825). 24mo. Original boards covered with pink paper in matching pink slipcase, gilt edges. With engraved title with an illustration of a young girl feeding birds and 6 engraved full-page elegant plates of 3 children playing with a goat ("Jeux de l' enfance"), a little girl holding romarin ("Romarin"), a boy helping a blind man ("le petit pasteur"), a young man courting a girl ("La Primavere"), a man and woman discovering a sleeping child ("La douce surprise") and a young girl giving money to a poor ("La jeunesse bienfaisante") . 26, 24 pp.

Very beautifully produced and illustrated miniature almanac (65 x 45 mm), with one quire for the calendar and one quire with 12 songs for children. The melodies to all songs are quoted at the head of each song. Louis Janet was one of the French booksellers specialised in miniature almanacs during the 18th century, during which miniature almanacs were very popular.
