(No place, late 19th century). Large oblong 4to. Gilt decorated cloth. 13 watercolours (305 x 240 mm) with black background of mostly saltwater fish from the Indo-Pacific region.

Album with 13 beautifully coloured aquarelles of species of mostly saltwater fish from the Pacific region. The drawings were copied from several unknown works from probably the end of the 19th century. Later they were coloured by hand with watercolour and partly covered with eggwhite. Another artist coloured in the black background. It is difficult to specify the species of the depicted fish. Five could fairly certain be identified. In order of appearance with their reference:
1: Scomber (see Bennett),
4: Pterois (Oken),
7: Sebastes (Oken)
9: Pseudoscarus (Bleeker)
11: Hemiochus (Renard)
13: Clupea (Broussonet)
