First and only edition of this Portuguese fictitious account of a journey the author took as a servant who accompanied his master on a voyage to Australia. Aguiar chose Australia as the scene for his moralizing tale in the hope that the new nation (i.e. Australia) will be free forever from the vices of the Old World. The work is dedicated to "Sua Magestade fidelissima a Rainha".
