Popular A B book, nicely illustrated, certainly no traditional "Haneboek", but still creating the illusion it sort of is, probably for the sake of the market. Both the woodcuts on title and verso title strongly reminds one of the "Haneboek", the woodcut of the little cock sitting on a wall beneath which a hen is brooding even having a typical "Hane"-poem to it. But there all similarity ends, the rest offering an A B book after quite modern teaching methods. Each letter of the alphabet is pictured by a small woodcut, with next to it the letter in four different types, a word to this letter, and a 2-line verse for reading exercise. Then follow the vocals and  the consonants with extensive spelling exercises. Only the last two pages offer some stories to read.
