German A B book after a new method to teach children to read, not teaching them the letters after the order of the alphabet but starting with letters of one stroke only, like the i, e, f, c, etc, then of 2 strokes, like the n, u, o, a g. v, p, etc, and at last with letters of 3 strokes, like the w, m, etc. After the teaching of the letters with spelling exercises, and the teaching of the numbers with the "Einmaleins", or multification tables, there are extensive reading exercises, with prayers, verses, and educational pieces, ending with lessons on natural history, with all animals depicted.
