Printed in the Alsace for Koberger in Nürnberg with 10 magnificent woodcuts by the 'Master I S' from the school of Hans Schäufelein View picture(s) 421 VIGERIUS, Marcus. Contemporary full calf over wooden boards, both sides tooled in blind: chequered pattern with floral stamps, one in the form of an onion (65 x 45mm) and smaller triangular stamps with a dragon a small rectangular stamp with leaves and a rond one with trefoil; two brass clasps, title written on fore-edge. Lvs. from a 14th-century liturgical manuscript pasted on the inner sides of the boards. From the 'Koberger Werkstatt'. Title in woodcut border of 4 pieces by Urs Graf and 10 beaufiful full-page woodcuts (ca. 139-144x97-102mm) in a border of 4 woodblocks measuring together ca. 188-191x139-144mm. by the painter and woodcutter the 'Master I S with the shovel', a pupil of Hans Schäufelein: apart from the first, all the woodcuts are signed with the monogram 'I S' on the blade of a shovel.
